Dermatillomania Served with a Side of Anxiety

To My Anxiety Disorder:  Spotted like a leopardOn National GeographicBut no cameras document me.Hidden in the shadowsI remainBut I feel like I’m in a glass case.Words like brushstrokesPainting a smile on my faceBut we all know the best art dies in flames.Always lending a handWhile my other destroys meBut no one asks to hold it.Exhausted and forgottenGlued to the lives of othersBut ready to step in front of the camera.I am a leopardFerocious and differentHunted for my spots. Sincerely,      My Past, Present, and Future Selves
