From the Deep it rises
I catch my breath for it surprises
me when I see
it a hundred feet below me
It's scales shining in the water
like a knight in shining amor.
It gets closer as I reel.
My arms ciece to feel
anything but the burn
as I hold my arms firm.
Against the creature's thrashing.
he churns the water
around the boat bashing
his head against the side.
Until, at last
he is mine.
