Dear Grandfather,

Grandfather, I love you

Even though you left me.

You served in World War two,

Oh Grandfather, your spirit will never desert me.

How pulchritudinous life must be,

To live life with the birds, and fresh air.

Maybe one day you and me,

Will find those donuts you like, and share.

Grandfather, I try to speak to you,

Every night as I lay in bed.

Grandfather I know it must hurt you,

Not to hear my voice in your head.

Grandfather, just know I’ll always be here.

Just like you, as I’m writing this in tears.
