Deaf Poem

Listening to the sound of the "Hand"
I gaze in amazment
How can one gesture be a word?
I gaze in amzement

A silent unknown elegancy I cannot share
They sign with such passion
"Seeking the mutual understanding
Content smiles and llaughter are like music"
I gaze in amazement

Knowing they feel like they don't belong
I want to prove to them before I'm gone that not all of the hearing community feels that way
In fact everyone in the hearing community are "handicap" in some way
