Dead Flowers

I’m looking beyond this sea of trees, I see this single flower dying

I am rushing towards that open space, a possible heart I could embrace

There it stands, grasping death, I hide behind this single tree

She stands, in layers of flying white amongst this plain gray scenery

Its as almost she belongs there, just standing there, holding death

I take another glance, and look away

This girl whom is a flower, is way to enchanting for me to save

I turn and strode away, leaving behind the scenery of gray

But with that girl, whom’s hands hold the flower that is dying

I feel the need to show her to just keep trying

I spin on my feet, the sun is starting to leave, this scenery is turning into the sea of pleas

I can sense her cry, inside my heart, its begging to get dark

I move faster, memorized by her stance, head bowed down, hair flowing in the wind

Her layers of white moving slowly with the breeze, her hands holding death, the flower

I notice her shaking, this girl is crying, I’ve seen her before, but her image doesn’t ring any bells

I come up behind her, place my hands on her thin waste, I bring her into me, and she doesn’t break away

It is darker now, I cannot see her face, her head leans against my shoulder, and I feel her tears fall from her face

I wrap my arms around this girl, my leather of black encasing her, she places her hands on mine, and I feel I’m obligated to make the most of this moment

She turns around, I feel her gaze on me, I sense the heart break beneath her layers of white

She is still holding that flower, which is dead, I see her drop it as if she was defeated

I take her by the hand, and drag her to the prairie, I know where she will feel worthy

We cross the path that leads to the river, I bend down and carry her over

We come upon this new scene of dead grass and a night, starry and bright

All the flowers had died away, and now I’m out of things to say

I have not spoken a single word to her, but my actions speak louder then any words

She grasp my hand and pulls me down with her, we fall in a heap and land in the dead pasture

Above us is this sky of light, starry and bright, I can see this girl now, she is memorizing

I have no need to be here with her, and I smile, stand up, and great ready to leave

I don’t not belong with people like her, ones who dance, and play, and drink the night away

This girl is one I’ve known all my life, she was my everything, she was the reason I sacrificed

She reached out for me, but fell short, and went down into the water

I ran to her rescue and pulled her into my leather, she still looks the same, but even more awing to the eye

She stand back on her feet, and begins to dance, I needed to leave, but I didn’t

I took her hands, spun her in circles, letting her hop and prance, through this night

As I can feel her slowing down, she lets me tip her back, and I hold her tight

The look in her eyes says it all, this girl was a flower after all

She only wanted someone to find her, even after all her hope had died

She lost all her flowers, and she was so lost inside

I found her on this night, and I knew then, this was right

I couldn’t let her go, nor let this moment past

I brought her closer to me, and new this wasn’t just a romance

This girl hadn’t given up hope, she just needed someone to embrace her heart

She grew up with a hard life indeed, but she knew that meant nothing nothing to humanity

She came here often, I knew I saw her once before, this girl I had always loved, just refused to show her

Even though she was alone on this night, I found her this time, and now she has a reason to be someone’s everything
