Dark Black

Dark black is my colour

Don’t confuse that with another

Like rich black oil flowing

In seamless precision

Don’t stare at me because of your decision

Don’t be perplexed because its your own confusion

Dark black is my connection

A royal blend by divine inspiration

Mix all the colours and what do your get?

A beautiful black is what you beget

Alas, why do you look down me and forget

That God made me like a perfect bouquet

I celebrate you dark black skin,

Forged like a beautiful queen

Never forget that God loves you out and within

His stamp forged in you and closely akin
