Dancing For Herself.

Having nothing to prove,

Only one path to choose.

She spins around and about,

Not having anything to lose.

No respect is given through love,

As the effort comes from above.

Still spinning-

The breeze could push her,

Only one gust could occur.

As she would fall,

Into an everlasting blur.

When it comes she is ready.

Steady with her heart-

Not her legs.

But her heart that’s heavy,

Tipping just over the edge-

Promising a silent pledge,

Breathing out with the fall,

Not caring for the impact at all.

Smiling to the sky above,

Below there was that condemning cove.

She fell for her only love,

She fell for it into that cove.

And she welcomed death like a friend,

Accepting her freedom without end.
