Crumbling

Location

Crumbling to dust,

To nothing at all,

Breaking in pieces,

A desperate fall.

A yell for help,

Begging no more,

A battle waged,

On a broken heart's shore.

Salty tears,

Mixed with copper blood,

Worn down body,

A wilting flower bud.

I'm sorry,

Her desperate cry in the night,

I'm sorry,

Her soul spills out with might.

A disappointed turn of the head,

By those she dared called kin,

On knees she falls with eyes clamped shut,

Begging forgiveness of all her sin.

And as she rises through clouds,

And as she rises through sky,

His embrace envelopes her in His love,

As she slowly sheds both life and lies.
