Cradling In Each Other's Arms

Fri, 11/28/2014 - 00:01 -- Leyoht

Your life

Had almost broken.

Your heart

Had almost died.

I knew

Of this emotion,

But then

You turned and cried.

Just how have you gone through so much torment?

Just why did you suffer all that pain?

Just when have you ever felt so sore—and,

Just who—oh just who—is there to blame?

My life cradled in your arms,
And yours in mine.

But should we go there so soon?

Let's give it time.

Your love is mine.

It's so sublime.

When I feel your lips

Pressed up against mine,
I realize
Now you'll be just fine.

In my arms,

In your arms,

We remain secure.

It's so true,

It's all true.

I've never felt so sure.

No matter what they may

Say about us,

I know they'll fail to see

How they all fuss

About us.

I know it's true.

And so do you.

Forget it all and come to me.

To my side I know you'll flee.

Forget about the him and her,

Forget about the pain they serve.

As we cradle in each other's arms.
