Consumed Language

Tue, 03/05/2019 - 18:04 -- Briasia

When I was trying to speak your language

You was looking for an excuse

I was looking for love

But you were looking for someone to use

I’ve  been down this rode before

None of these games is new

I guess I was wrong

I tried to fit into a space

That had no room

I tried to fit into a space

That was consumed

But why place me in a situation

Where you were unsure about yourself

And dish out nothing but abuse

You never hurt me physically

My my mental was distraught

I tried go with the flow

So much love lost

I just wanted to be all you seen

Love you despite all your flaws

I wanted to be the highlight of your life

So many lessons taught

I never knew loving a man unconditional

came at such a cost

But see that agape

real love

that shit can’t be bought
