Consolation

Location

It’s ok son, It’s ok

You hurt yourself as you crawled here

Let my embrace wash those tears away

Let the warmth soothe you as I hold you near

Cry as you must do as you desire

But the candle inside you burns ever bright

And your sobs are not enough to soak its fire

So don’t let your tears block out its light

See now you’re calmer not drenched in the rain

The flames of the fireplace so warm so dry

The clouds that hung over their water has waned

And you let out her sigh of relief

Remember her eyes never filled with tears

They could not wet her warm skin

Her exuberant smile stored the fire of life

And though life flooded its worries she did not…

She did not get flooded! The fire of life burned on

It burned the forest clear. It burned when I was near

That fire drowned. Not drowned! No sadness choked her.

Her light always guiding in life’s sea of darkness

That fire fought the suffocating sea.

It struggled against the sinking for you and her. And me

Fight. Fight harder! She cannot drown. That fire of life survive!

To those waves she should not be true

The sea is treacherous so fire fight on! Don’t suffocate.

Drowned. Not! Don’t sink. Go not to the sea

Fire survive. Burn for me. I must find you

That forest-burning fire breathes light

Light pass through the waves!

Allow me to see. To find.

Burn. Don’t drown.

For me. Fire

Drowned.

Come back!

Come back.

It’s ok dada, It’s ok
