Conquer

The demon will always be with me.

It used to control me,

Control what I did, who I talked to.

I could only talk to those who knew, others wouldn't understand.

But at the same time,

I couldn't tell anyone.

I was alone, and drowning in the fear of you.

Now, I have the demon on a leash.

I have conquered the demon.

That fear, the drowning?

I can swim harder than anyone;

it pushes me to work harder.

I have conquered the demon.

I am free.
