Communicate

Laying here, staring at you

I can show everyone the love on my heart.

With my smiling face.

A smile that’s been lost for some time.

It feels so right, that I think it’s wrong.

Reading my mind.

Conditioned to not make mistakes.

No one else can speak the words

on your lips.

The rest is still unwritten.

Words are only words.

But you show me, it’s more than this.

My heart is still on a mend.

They will say anything to get you back again.

Just another heartache on the list.

Being lonely,

I’m lonely no more.

What if I was good to you

and you were good to me?

Perfect harmony.

All these feelings, confronting me tonight.

I don’t even know if I believe,

everything that you try and say to me.

I have the strangest feeling.

There’s more to this world.

Opening my eyes, I’m alive.

Guessing what’s on your mind.

I’m amazed. Say something.

That you love me, let’s move away.

This will never go our way.

If I have to guess what on your mind.

Communicate.
