Colour in disguise

Colour in disguise

All u think of is how beautiful a leopard is
But has forgotten it is a voracious creature
For do not judge a book by its cover
But guess that quote has been forgotten

For I see how colour has determined who one is
And I wonder how love will still continue to reign
If these still goes on
For we are all equal before the creator

Forget about the junk science
For it is just a way to shorten the lifes of those innocent beings
The way you suffer illnesses is the same for them
For the way you were created so they are

They are counted as slaves cos of your greedy forefathers
That held them captive in their own land
And took away their lovely families from them
For their own selfish interest

Remember the dred Scott case
About them not being and will never be a citizen
But God proved the general controller
And made a black the president of the state

Their crops and people were stolen
Treasures being hijacked as they could not be returned
But still accept their fate
And you still take their life's

Still striving in the land of their so called enemies they regard to as friend
But they are denied better accommodation
For they see us as less human
And beasts that were supposed not be created

Many of us have tried to prove you wrong
Likes of this great woman
Oh!! Elizabeth keckley
The woman that bought herself and child from slavery

We cry in silence as we hope for better days ahead
But still continue to shorten our lives
What have we done wrong?
Should we go to the supreme being and ask why we were created

For you just want to make life a living misery for us
But we still fight against that
That love and forgiveness being watered
Even as the hatred grows

For we have not seek revengance of how we were being cheated
And not seek justice of how we were being tortured
But even with all of that your hatred hasn't subsidised
For our lives are counted insignificant

Colour doesn't define purity
But from the heart
And these forgiving heart I see
Is the biggest I have ever seen

For they are trying to make you understand
How wrong you are for centuries back
But you are just blinded with myths and hatred
Of how worst our creation is

Always regarded as a negative being
As some of us still come out to be the best we can
Still jealousy over rules
For humans can never be satisfied

Negroes are poor but we still have billionaires amongst us
Sets of hungry immigrants
But their home is blessed with so much resources
That led to the full greed of thy forefathers
Who betrayed and decieved us

Deaths of many of us have not gotten full justice
As we still ponder on how to stop these
But guess you all heart is made of stone
Like that of your selfish and heartless forefathers

For we were taught to love and care
And not the other way around
That is why we didn't revenge based on wat you all did
For our silence is enough for us

I still hold on to Martin Luther King words
For we shall not remember the words of our enemies
But the silence of our friends
For we are your friends
