The Colors of Panic

WHITE.

Spots of blue flash in, then out.

Red slashes through in an erratic sequence.

Flashing,

Flashing,

Flashing.

White.

Deep blue creeps up the corners and edges,

Seeping closer and closer.

Blue.

Dots speckle, faint and slow.

Growing and growing.

Expanding then-

WHITE.

*Breathe*

Gentle grey blue fades in like ebbing waves.

Steady.

Slow.

*Breathe*

Grey blue kisses sky blue as the waves smooth into the sky.

Swirling together and dripping down.

Blending of calm,

Blending of peace.

*Breath-*

WHITE.

Dark blue fog tickles the corners.

Blue dots fade into the dancing mix of sky and sea.

Blue turns to navy,

the colors drop,

and blackness.

Darkness.

*Breathe*
