College

With mascots of Hornets, Aggies, and Bobcats
And those baseball players on the field swinging their bats
I will see students with college books and college sweaters
and the college name on every entrance with giant headers

I'm excited for graduation
To further my education
An ending to a new beginning
I wont be crying I'll be singing
I will visit but I am lea
I'll begin to sob but hopefully it wont sound like a baby teething

A new home, a new room to call my own
To enter a dorm of inferior storm
A school of pride to call my home
Like a working bee to a honey comb

I look forward for a great future
And high school kids...as you were
From practice a practice quiz to a final exam
I have learned from these past weeks who I really am

I will be starting fresh, starting new
In the new college that I will be attending to
This was one of my first poems I must admit
So I'll stop typing now and submit this scholarship
