College.

College: a special type of hell

Where you are stuck between homelessness and education.

That time where you are thrust into the world

And told that you need an education to thrive.

But in order to survive you need a job

To pay for this soul-sucking,

Wallet-leaching,

Confidence-crushing demon.

But that job also requires experience and knowledge of the profession.

And where might you get that?

That's right.

College.

Because we actively choose to fill our minds

With new information while stuffing our bodies

Full of watered down salt and processed noodles

Because let's be real.

Only at college does a book take priority over food.

Where the science book that you need

For the one semester of a required course

Costs more than a month’s rent.
