Clouded Conversations

Thu, 08/25/2016 - 00:16 -- Poetess

I know how it feels.

It's all built up and you just  can't hold it anymore.

It's too heavy.

But still, you hold on to it.

And it hurts you.

It weighs you down.

It makes you dark.

I know how it feels.

You can't contol it.

It all just happens.

You lose control

of the struggle to keep just that.

I hear your cries as they echo in the skies from miles away.

You eclipse the stars of the night and the sunniest day.

I see the bright flash of anger in your face.

I hear you scream from that deep deserted space.

I don't know how it feels.

After you let fall,

after there's nothing left at all--

I can no longer empathize with you.

But I'm just a wanton observer,

reclining in your storm,

trying to wash my tears with yours.
