Cloud Cover

I'm afraid someone will see me at my darkest

When no light shine through the clouds

So I put on a smile and continue to breath

Deeply.

I want to shield you from the cloud and the rain

So that you, and I,

Can have a better day

Where we can walk in the sun

And water drops warm and evaporate.

My thoughts are depressed in the recesses of my mind,

But although I am lonely,

Most of the time,

Way in the corners,

I still want to see the world bright.

Happy.

With war, injustice, and little compassion

It is hard to produce a natural light from inside,

But I try

To at least dimly shine

To break the clouds of somebody else's day.
