after 9/11, we bounce back
after hurricane irene, we got back on track
and now sandy, it's time to recover that requires effort and lots of stack
i've learned to be resilient through adversity
many times, challenges become biggest adversary
it is time to show resilience like the heartbreak kid
and not act like animals stealing food from a supermarket that translates to time in jail for a bid
it's time to stop blaming others for actions you did
the importance of overcoming hardships
may be a turning point when one forms companionships
in the end when all the dust is clear (i mean it literally), like the Miami Heat, we win championships
I'm from a place that is hit hard like a grand slam home run
I'm not asking for a hamburger and a bun
I'm asking to show support and love
like the prince record, animal that cries is a dove
i'm from that place that will recover
a lot that can be learn through this ordeal will soon be discover
but if all people do is complain and not take action, like a heavyweight belt, it will be relinquish
