The Choice

Location

Happiness?

Dare I delve

into my mind

to find an inkling of

Hope

Love

Frivolity

Joy

In a life touched by so much hate,

Death

Divorce

Crudeness

Failure

Is there happiness to be found?

YES!

In the faces of friends who, unlike others, never left

In the pages of books about worlds far away

In the spirit of discovery, in hope, and in curiosity

Happiness is the warmth of the blood in your veins,

The crispness of the air in your lungs,

The firing of synapes in your brain that give you

Thought

Fright

Laughs

LIFE

Happiness is not perfection

It is the knowledge that you are not perfect

And that is ok

What makes me happy?

The choice to see the good and be the good

Happiness is free

All you have to do

Is

Take it
