child

hush small child dont you see

you can be anything you want to be?

you can be anything

anything at all

but listen clostly because this is what you are

your only one child in a world so harsh

only one child like a spec in the mush

you may be strong and you may be tough

but im giveing you a lable and its all you can be

ill say you have freedom

but freedom isnt free

ill tell you what you have to be

you have to be bold you can not be strong

what are you saying?

that what im saying is wrong?

but im older then you child

so you have no say

your stuck with me child

till your 18th birthday

you cant be a child you have to be tough

but i tell you child you cant grow up

you have to stay inoccent you have to stay young

im trying to protect you

im showing my love.

how is what your doing showing your love?

your traping me in

your holding me down

you want me to be you

but im nowhere to be found

you said i could be anything anything i want

then gave me a lable and said i wont

i have to be bold i cant be shy?

well what if theres reason enough

the world isnt black the world isnt white

so why?

stop ruleing me with your iron fist

i may be one child in this world

it may be harsh it may be cold

but im not alone its not just me

i have friends and family

who truely belive

ill be what i want i wont follow your laybel

ill change and ill grow

and ill sit at your table
