What came first,

the chicken or the egg?

My friends debate,

and I ponder.

This question is more powerful,

than it seems.

It is a means to sort people,

if not just a literal inquiry.

There will be those who say,

the egg--or--the chicken.

the egg is creation.

They ask,

and the chicken?

The chicken is,

...is origin.

They glance at each other,

and ask, "so...? What came first?"

I ponder,

Then I shrug,

and reply.

Who cares really,

it's just a chicken and an egg.
