Chemistry Not Compatibility

When we feel sparks fly

we hold on for the ride

and that's exactly what we did

acting like carefree kids

Eyes meet, instant chemistry

we forget it's not compatibility

went on dates, the sex was great

still there are things I hate

It all felt right, then it was wrong

like the story line of every sad song

couldn't let it go, with sparks in the air

the way we play games, we weren't playing fair

One felt chemistry and mistook it for love

the other knew the ending would be rough

a lover and a runner ran around and around

chasing a fate they could not mend

Until their little fairytale said,

                              The End.
