Chair to Chair

How does that make you feel becomes your stereotypical question,

Why do you care becomes my sarcastic reply.

You act as if you're interested in my progression,

I act as if I don't care about your lies.

I'm forced to talk to you,

You just want the pay.

I wish you'd give up on a breakthrough,

You wish I would stop wasting away your day.

Ten years later I sit there in silence,

You really don't want to talk.

I want to be your guidance,

But you don't want to take that walk.

I want to tell you I know what you are going through,

You want to share with me all your pain.

I want to show you what I say is true.

You believe that I will use your troubles for personal gain.

I try to move you away from the dark place we both once shared,

I want to exhibit how everything changed by just switching chairs.
