It was my birthday
And I was looking forward to getting my candy apple
I spent time with my family
Making sure I had some time to spear to go get one
My fiance told me he was taking me with his family
Across the bored
He wanted to get me a gift
I went with
My candy apple....
That's all I had on my mind
Am I not getting one this year?
I'm I going to have to wait ?
But it's something since I've don't since 18
I'm happy I'm with him but he knows how much this means to me....
The shops would be closed by then....
We go out with his family
They show me a good time
I was nervous and scared
It was a new place to me
But in another area of a place I was taken when I was younger
Reason I don't cross the bored
I'm scared to be kidnapped again
But I knew I was safe
I'm with him and his family
We walk around
I got a few gifts
New experiences
But still the apple was on my mind...
It was getting late
It was time to go ...
The shops are closed at this point ..

Even my family doesn't really care about this like tradition I made for myself
How I felt so loved
And I got my candy apple in the end
But it was a gift I got myself
It was a gift that was given to me
The smallest change to something done for a long time
Makes a difference
