Calm in the Storm

I am a wind.

I am the air rushing through the leaves,

Happy and energetic,

Flying and free.

Sometimes my speed picks up.

I get angry. I run from my problems.

I know I can be too much sometimes.

I need you to be

The eye of my storm

The calm in the centre when the thunder comes

I need you there

The lightning rod, the quiet blue sky beyond

To ground me to the earth

To bring me back

Let me be a calm breeze,

To blow through when the summer comes in

So I can be a relief

Instead of a disaster.
