Burned Bridges

"It all fades away, or so I tell myself often enough to believe it. The people you've spent countless of days with become echoes in time. I've learned this through experience, whether it be painful or be a relief. That person you believed was your soulmate? They were actually just a lesson. Your close circle was never actually closed, there was a gap. That gap is what will make you who you are several years from now. Do not be confused, there will be someone waiting for you at the end of this beautifully painful journey, friends or even a lover, just not yet. There will be stepping stones to every milestone, but to leap to the next one you must sacrifice—sacrifice wisely. Hearts will be broken and tears will fill that old hole you dug yourself into, but it's necessary to become who you want to be. Take it all in stride, permanence is the only thing that isn't permanent. Love and love hard, you might not be able to love them again. Leave anywhere that makes you feel unwanted. Cut ties with anyone who doesn't value your true worth. Leave anything that doesn't help you grow. But most importantly love yourself because you are the only one there for you during your darkest hour. May these burned bridges light the way."
