Brown

Location

2 score and 6 years ago,

One man tried to make a difference

He told the community that

"I have a Dream"

They responded by shooting him.

Just last year a boy in a hood

Suffered the same fate as Doctor King

When a Floridian neighborhood watch

deemed him unsafe.

The only thing these victims had in common

Was the blackness of their skin

But what's in the outside

Isn't always on the inside.

The ignorance and prejudice

Governing Ferguson

Turned their hearts and souls

Darker than a human being's

Heart and soul should be.

I'm sorry that we haven't realized

That Mike Brown might have lived

If we stopped seeing color

And started seeing equality.
