Am I damaged

Am I no longer in one piece

Am I crushed

Am I overwhelmed with despair

Walking around in darkness

I could only see through the numbness

Many years and days gone past

I stumbled many times

What was this appearing 

Was it the light

Then the light shown brighter and brighter

My inner strength let out a sigh of relief

I must move forward

I cling to the truth

I chose to push forward

I can see glimpses of paradise
