Like a butterfly

with broken wings,

he’s discouraged from

so many things.

They look down upon him

with sympathy;

they look at him and doubt.

He spreads his wings despite the challenge;

he continues to try.

Though his wings are different,

in his own unique way, he will learn to fly.

This boy’s a butterfly with broken wings,

but he’s capable of so many things.
