Broken Reflection

Shattered glass

On the floor

A broken reflection

Nothing more

Black and blue

Along my arm

From the one

Who promised no harm

Tears pooling

On the bed

In rememberance

Of what was said

The wedding band

On the floor

Glistening brightly

cherished no more

Where they sleep

My prison lies

When we meet

My will dies

Their fists

My hugs

Their threats

My kisses

Sleepless nights

Dreaded days

Staying strong

The price it pays
