It started off beautiful and I was happy to have it.

To see me happy was my mirror goal,

It reflected my happiness.

It kept me comfort when needed,

And showed me a different world.

Mirror reflected my heart,

And I held my mirror close.

One day I dropped it and it had a nasty crack.

I promised Mirror I wouldn’t drop it again,

And tried hard to keep that promise.

But over and over Mirror fell,

And the cracks became missing pieces.

My mirror still saw me smile,

But the cracks and missing glass blurred into sadness.

Mirror was no more and a new mirror was bought.

Mirror reflected me,

Inside and out.

I want my mirror back!

It was always right here beside me.
