They say that elephants are the only mammals that can die of a broken heart.
But what about people?
I put on a front by smiling
While in fact I was actually dying.
No one knew that my heart longed for love.
My heart did in fact beat to the sound of a drum.
Then one day, just one day things changed for the worse.
I'll NEVER forget that day, it was like I was being cursed.
I put my heart and soul into you, and then you went away.
So after that day, I changed.
My heart grew cold, and lost its color.
My sunken eyes, then turned gray.
I was hurting, I was weak as can be.
This whole thing happened because you left me.

I fall to my knees and pray for help.

Cracking.

I lie here shaking.
My eyes drift to the back of my head.
All I see is the light, no words were said.
It was my time to go, and it happened all because of you.
I once was and ordinary girl.
With a smile that lit up the room.
Now my eyes are gray and sunken in.
And I lay here, dying alone.

To just a memory in the past.
But now I am The Broken Hearted Girl.
With a heart made of shattered glass.
