Death has arrived
not on schedule, but on time.
Finally, able to explore the limitless options
Denied to those who are righteous.
Can I own myself?
Can I love myself?
Possessiveness caged the best of me
for we belong to our mother,
our father, our sisters and brothers,
our friends,
the universe.
Never our own.
It has not been love
I have been blinded.
I have been restrained,
never allowing me to be
never allowing me to breathe
the aroma of freedom
That one I hear of.
Deep breath.
I whisper, one more time,
Let me live.
time to let go,
Possessiveness,
Let me breathe,
Let me live.
