Breakfast's Waiting
Breakfast Is Waiting
The hot butter bubbles on the pan
And the eggs slide around ontop of the oil
He always said breakfast everyday would lengthen your life span
I could smell the coffee slowly beginning to boil
He poured the bacon grease down the garbage can
The drain now coated with hot olive oil
I poured my coffee and watched it steep
A cup for one this time
It was my first time on my own, and it was hard to sleep
I need coffee because of my bed time
I counted the bighorn sheep
I will miss my family forever
But I will learn to live on my own
Because I remember growing up is a huge endeavor
And I can call them through the phone
They inspire me to never
give up on being on my own
