I can look you in the eyes
And as you leave
I find my hands shaking
I listened to you talk
I lost where I was
You touch my shoulder
And I feel myself blush
The heat in my skull rises
I almost see the sorrow
It is a clinging leech
Staring at me
I won’t break again
Sweeping the tables clear
I have learned to understand
The pain of everyone else
I let in what I dread
I aim at what is in front of me
I glare at it
And I do not let it take over me
