Blurry

We watched

As timid little cities

Filled their bellies

Full of brown and coal black

The air, a muddled mess

The bees, on verge of collapse

The fish, caught in the wires we spun…

We built our blueprints on desire

We built towers with cluttered heads.

We wasted our breath

On all this talk

Of dollar bills.

We’ve chosen conveniency over efficiency

Half of us brooding on the question

Half of us abstinent of compromise

What happened…?

What happened to our vision?
