Birds have beautiful colors.
Their feathers of red and blue and golden yellow
ruffle together against the sky.

Birds have lovely voices.
They sing out together,
a jumble of notes that mix sweetly and add beauty
to a red-orange sunset and a warm evening breeze.

Birds all nest in the same trees.
It doesn't matter what their song is or how their feathers look.

Birds raise their young together,
in the same community,
in the same home.

It seems that we can learn a lot from birds,
though I believe that many lessons
have already been taught.
