“You don’t belong here”
I’ve heard that all my life
All my life I’ve put on a mask,
Pretended it didn’t bother me
I’ve plastered a smile across my face

I push away the voice that says.
“It’s true”
Is this my fate?
Must I continue to hold my tears?

The darkness hides my shame
As my voice gets weaker and weaker
No one listens to me
No one cares

In the darkness of the night,
I cry
Because tomorrow,
When the sun rises,
I’ll pretend I’m happy
