Here I stand, book in hand. 

These Women and Men behind these stacks-

do not attack. But defend. 

So do not offend- me

with your lack of literacy

that you do not comprehend these Women and Men.

To be so "cool"

looking like a fool 

that you have the brutish gall

to call these Women and Men behind these stacks

who build such walls

against the fall of America.

Be a friend.

Try to suspend-

your disbelief.  

Pick up a book.
