Behind the curtains I stay

for today is not the day

to get off this shelf

and show myself

i'm too shameful of my ways

I'm awful and embarressing

unconfident, uncool

it's painfully difficult to be myself

around the kids at school

I'd rather be invisible

then noticed as the awkward fool

who roams around

this stupid town

hiding like a ghoul

 There's a side of me

that no one else will see

because of my social anxiety
