Behind The Curtain

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

What about the woman who's externally

giving her all & internally hurting.

From the hard work put into make

life worth it all, but what about that timid matter

living on the inside afraid to fall.

They see me and they automatically believe it's

easy but they fail to realize I'll give my all when need be!

I'm wearing a mask not one made of despair

but of joy and openness for the individuals who needs

a genuine heart to care.

But when it all dies down there's always this voice whispering,

"What about me?"

And then I remember, I'll stand tall because I was NOT

made to be defeated. I am NOT weak!

I am a woman made completely of gold with dreams

as huge as giant soles.

Well, at least that's what you see.

If you take the time to explore my heart you'll be able to pull

these thick velvet curtains apart.

I am a LEGEND!!!

And this you'll live to witness and sometimes

you'll have to realize it can be you behind those curtains

at any given time. So, before you place on that mask allow

someone to explore the depths of your mind.
