Proof of Love

Because I love you, I

ask about your day,

support you in everything you do,

pour out my everything

for you,

not requiring anything in return.

Because I love you,

I want to give to you,

not take from you.

Love is not a geometry proof;

there are no if-then statements.

“If you loved me,

then you wouldn’t talk to him”

isn’t real love.

Run!

If you use love as an excuse

to get something from someone else,

you don't love them.

You love yourself too much.

True love puts others first,

because when you love deeply,

hurting the one you love

breaks your own heart.

Love is a choice

to work for someone else's happiness

though it may differ from your plans.

Because I love you,

your wish is my new plan.

Because I love you,

I always want your day to be as bright

as you make mine.

I will prove my love for you,

every day for the rest of my life,

because I love you.
