I know we sometimes fight

or hurt each others' feelings.

I know we sometimes stop speaking

because the pain is too much.

I know we sometimes leave for the day

still feeling upset, and I know we shouldn't. 

But, I know how you make me laugh.

I know how you care for me, and I for you.

I know how close we are and how far we've come.

I know you and that's the best thing I get to know.

Knowing both the good and bad 

of our relationship has brought us closer

to each other and being able to fix the flaws.

We love "because," not "despite"

and that's the best kind of love there is.

You are my love, you have my heart.

I know that sometimes it's not perfect, 

but sometimes it is.

Regardless, I'm willing to push through the bad days to find our next good ones.  Because I love you and because you love me.
