Beauty Behind the Silence

You make a library sound like a city,

You're right at home in the deafening silence

I drive through the night, looking for you swiftly

You're a ivory tower in darkness, beautiful and reliant

Never thought about it this much before

Wish I knew what was on your mind

Wonder if I'm on yours

The way you tiptoe through mine

Suddenly I'm forgetting how to breathe

Suddenly I can sense your gaze taking over me

Suddenly there's an undulation of electricity

Looking at me like that,

Too late, baby, I'm gone

I'm an outlaw, no honor amongst thieves

Can steal your heart before dawn begins to breathe

But then I realize, as daylight paints my room

That I've been robbed, you've stolen mine too...
