The Beast's Beauty

Once upon a time

Before they gave time a mind

There lived a young man

 Raised in deep forest pines.

Where the winters were cold

 And the food was scarce

he watched a princess

Brush her dainty hair

Her skin was mocha

And her hair reached for the sun like flowers

And he sat in a tree every day watching her for hours

Everyday five minutes after midnight

She left the tower away from the safety light

Into the forest where no one could find her

Little did she know a beast was behind her.

She was searching for a sun kissed cherry rose

A wish would be granted

If she let the scent enter her nose

Or so she had been told

The legend told that there was only one rose

And the whereabouts of it

Nobody knows

Only that it appears five minutes after midnight

In a medal made of gold

Beauty had to find this for she had only one wish

I'll make my self beautiful with just one sniff

All the princes in the kingdom refused to marry

Because they failed to see that Beauty was extraordinary

Beyond her scars left by a wicked beast

Beauty was special and unique

It was one thing she did not know about this tale

The flower was guarded by a man with a tail.

She wandered and wandered

until the gold meadow appeared

In the very middle

the rose was revealed

It sparkled and it shined,

its beauty was truly Divine

Beauty grew closer to almost touch

But the beast would not let her get close enough

When he appeared it frightens Beauty indeed

He came closer and said I know you are in need

I'm am the guardian of the flower

I was given only one seed

I am the one you must speak to

Before you proceed.

Beauty swallowed her fear and said with guts

I seek one wish if that's not too much

Go right ahead sniff if you please

But every night you must prick your finger until it bleeds

And if you forget to simply do this

Something will happen worst than this

So tell me dear girl what do you wish for

To once again have skin that is pure

A wicked beast left these ugly scars

And he killed my mother

while I lay in her arms

Why I'm still alive

I do not know why

But as ugly as I am

 I should have died

So if this is what I must do, then I must

and she sniffed the rose deeply

And exhaled with a huff

Then she pricked her finger with no fuss

The man beast watched Beauty return home saddened that he once again was alone.

I shall see you again when you return

And hope that your heart

I may some day earn

Or else I am stuck as a wretched beast

And every moon fall on the innocent

 I must feast

And soon I'll be damned to this forever hell once the last petal on the rose has fell

And I pray you never forget to prick your finger tip

Or you too will die just as your mother did

For I am bound to this blood thirsty spell

Unless true love finally prevails

Your wish has made me stronger

And I can appear human longer

When Beauty woke up she was all brand new

Her skin beard no scars and her confidence grew.

Her happiness lasted until midnight fell And it dwindle away

I must go and prick my fingers and I shall not delay

When she made it to the meadow there was no beast but a fellow

And he sang a beautiful song written in acapello

Beauty's face blushed red

I come seeking the beast and here be a man instead

Beauty went to prick her fingers until it bled but was sidetracked by the man who asked to dance instead

Beauty knew that she should have said no but something inside allowed her to go

And they danced and dance until her feet were sore and after that they danced some more

Beauty had never had so much fun in her life

She thanked the man for a wonderful night

Before they parted their ways beauty did not forget to give her finger a single prick

This continue for weeks

Until beauty was dreaming of him in her sleep

By now her fingers were sore and weak

But for the love this condition she would keep

Until one day everything changed

Her father announced a wedding was to be arranged

A prince finally agreed to marry Beauty because now everyone could see her beauty

Beauty now knew this was end

And now she may never see her friend again

You leave for a ship tomorrow at dawn

To marry the prince of the east named Sean

Beauty’s heart sank all at once

At five past 12

She ran in the forest

And when she got to meadow she couldn't believe the horror  in the Beast's jaws

Was a man's neck and a ground covered in bones

Beauty froze with fright and fear

Searching for the man who was not here.

It is me the man you love

But it's a beast you truly love

He wiped his mouth with a snicker and returned back to his manly figure

Beauty began to tear and cry

Yet the love for him did not die

He he came close until they were eye and eye

Tell me was it you who killed my mother ?when my life months were nine ?

Was it you who separated us and left no remains behind?

A little baby me was all the knights could find?

Yes it was I

Then I never wish to see you

And you can ball up and die

And Beauty ran back to the castle

Where the sun met the sky

And without pricking her finger

She said her final good byes

Suddenly the winds began to race

And the clouds filled the skies at a fast pace

And deep in the forest the stillness changed

A evil howl from the forest grew

And any villager nearby was sliced in two

Word soon spread that a beast was on the rise

And at once the king sent out his best knights

And into the woods they went prepared to fight

But not one night made it alive

And the kingdom was then sent another surprise

The prince's earliness to arrive

And quickly as the princes ship touched shore

He was brought into safety behind the castle doors

I know how to bring peace to the land once more

I must marry the princess so the beast can be sure

That he has failed to find love

And must now give up

Quickly then call on the priest said the king

Today is the last day the wicked shall feast

And Beauty was dressed in a gown all white

And as she walked down the aisle

She did night feel right

She starred into the prince's eyes and imagined a beast before her sight

And she questioned her heart on loving a creature of the night

As twisted and as true

The love she had for him was all she knew

And as the prince said his I do

The blocked door became undone

And in came her beast all at once

Take me away far from the land

And the beast leap from the balcony with Beauty in his other hand

And they ran back to the meadow

Where beauty remembered meeting a fellow

I apologize for all that I've done

But things can be different and you are the one

To reverse the spell so no one else gets hurt

But it must be fast before the last petal hits the dirt

Please Beauty let me take you for a wife

Leave all your riches and royalty behind

Before the rose you've always been beautiful in my eyes

I watched you before in your tower so high and I waited for the day your love would leap from the sky

Then tell me my beast how do I make you mine

Do not prick your finger this time

And your wish  will die

But from there I will have you as my bride and from your neck I'll take a simple bite

If your blood taste of a heart that is pure as gold

Than a man’s hand you shall have to hold but if your blood taste of evil and deceit than for a husband you shall have a beast

And you will be cursed as me to feast on the weak

To this condition beauty agreed

and into her flesh he bit to bleed

At that moment the last rose fell at their feet

And there stood A Beauty and a Beast
