Be Yourself

Be Yourself

There’s only one thing I can tell you, Sis—

Be yourself.

But be yourself in Christ.

You are a temple, a glorious dwelling,

A painted palace where He resides.

He is the only one who has the master blueprint of your structure,

The only one who knows

how many blocks of marble were carefully chiseled out,

To make you,

The only one who knows

how many majestic cedars were fitted together,

To make you.

Christ spent so many nights dreaming of your existence,

Planning the events that would take place around you, mapping out where you’d go.

You are special

And no temple like you exists.

So why would you pine for the chiseled marble of another palace?

Why would you yearn to be made of different cedars?

There is no palace like you, so be confident in who you are in Christ.
