Be You

Under so many years, you do what you're told.

You do what makes others happy.

You're being what they want you to be.

A caring friend, a dilligent student, a loyal child.

But is that what you really want?

To be their support, their motivator, their puppet?

You've felt like you can't express yourself.

You feel like you can't be you.

Why?

Because of their opinion?

Their reaction?

What's stopping you?

If they were to care for you.

NOT use you.

They would be okay with you being you.

So break out of those strings.

Take off the mask and

Be you.
