To Be Human

We are all human

Are we not?

Stripped of color, pigmentation,

gender-identifying extrema,

and body,

if we have one thing in common,

it is

our Soul.

The Human Spirit dances within us all;

No matter whether we have

our hoods down

Or hair up;

We are one people,

United by love.

and those who disagree have systematically and simultaneously lost their

Humanity.

For if you cannot see that we all are

the same,

you have lost your eyes.

And if you cannot hear humanity’s bristling, harmonious cadence,

you have lost your ears.

If you cannot smell the melting pot of our world,

then you must have no nose.

If you cannot

or are not willing to

work together for the betterment of our world,

then

where are your hands?

And

If you cannot feel

warmth to another, regardless of differences,

and show love to your fellow man,

then you have lost your Soul.

And then,

What are you?

For even the maimed, the lame, the broken,

The ones that God

elected to bear the brunt of the burden,

have all of the afore mentioned anatomy, albeit

physically, or within their spirit,

for love is blind, deaf, paralyzed, and

Dumb

But the defining factor of humanity-

The Soul-

Requires one credential:

Love.

A credential that thus opens the door to all aspects of us.

indiscriminant, brotherly, motherly, spouse

Compassionate, romantic,

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

If you cannot feel any of these,

and are consumed by hate for your fellow man,

whether he be black, brown, yellow, white, red,

or green or purple,

gay, straight, tall, or short, long or wide,

then you have lost your

Humanity.
